Scholarship Application Procedures


We are happy to announce that we have several full scholarships available for our Seventeenth Annual Conference on Compulsive Gambling on March 23rd and 24th, 2017.

As of January 1, 2017 the scholarships are sponsored by:

  • Menominee Nation
  • Potawatomi Hotel & Casino
  • The Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling, Inc.
  • The Wisconsin Lottery

A full scholarship for attendance covers:

  • Registration and materials
  • Breaks and luncheons on both days
  • Awards Banquet on Thursday, March 23, 2017

We are asking all scholarship recipients to pay $25.00 towards their scholarship. This allows us to offer additional scholarships. (The $25.00 fee is not due until the scholarships are awarded.)

Scholarships do not include the March 22nd pre-conference workshops.

Please write an essay (no more than two double-spaced typed pages) on why receiving a scholarship is important to you. Scholarships will be awarded to qualifying applicants based upon financial need, future goals and unique circumstances. Please be sure to include the above information to insure that your application is processed accordingly.

Treatment Providers: Describe your prior gambling-specific training experience, your motivation in working with problem gamblers, and how you intend to use the knowledge gained at this Conference.

Non-Treatment Providers: Describe how this Conference will enhance your own personal and professional growth and development.
